Children’s Winter Festival
Are your kiddos begging to get out of the house for an afternoon of fun? The Children’s Winter Festival is the perfect solution! On February 20th from 10am-2pm, families are invited to the Frog Pond at Boston Common for an afternoon of arts & crafts, interactive games, bouncy inflatables, and a photo booth. The event is free of charge for all!
Visit Local Slopes and Rinks
As we enter the heart of wintertime in New England, it’s important to stay active, get outdoors, and avoid cabin fever at all costs! The Boston-Metro area is surrounded by a ton of family friendly ski slopes and ice-skating rinks that make for the perfect day trip.
Visiting the rink of Strawbery Banke in Portsmouth provides a great two-for-one winter experience. This 10-acre living history museum gives visitors a glimpse into New England culture, restored buildings, and seasonal gardens. Since we’re in the winter season, visitors are encouraged to end their visit with an ice skating lesson on their rink. This is a great attraction for residents of Forest Properties’ nearby Arbor View and Sagamore Court apartment communities.
As New Englanders, knowing how to ski (or at least giving it a try!) is a must-have winter experience. We recommend the slopes and instruction at Weston Ski Track, which is only 15 miles from the center of Boston.
Sagamore Court apartments provide a community of choice for those who are seeking both urban and beaches amenities. Choose from our selection of studio, one, two bedroom apartments.Sagamore Court in Downtown Portsmouth
The New England Boat Show
Ahoy there! Boston is surrounded by harbors and nautical influence that give us every excuse to anticipate this year’s New England Boat Show!
The Boston Convention and Exhibition Center will be covered from bow to stern with vessels of all sizes from February 9-17th. Gear up for sailing seminars, interactive learning for children, pet photo contests, and first-hand tours of the finest boats in New England. Tickets are $16 for visitors over the age of 12 and free for those mates younger!
Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party
If you’re looking to get a head start on planning activities for your kids over the long President’s Day Weekend, you’ll be pleased to know that Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party is coming to Boston’s TD Garden! Follow Mickey and Minnie Mouse as they glide their way through the stories of courageous princesses. From Mickey Mouse to his favorite friends, who will you see dazzling across the ice during these February show dates?
