The city’s official First Night Boston event is free and open to the public! The celebration kicks off at 12:00pm on Tuesday, December 31st and runs through the evening of Wednesday, January 1st. Live performances from The Stephen Bates Quartet, Boston Sax Quartet, and many others kick off the event in Copley Square, the Prudential Center, and Copley Place. In the afternoon and evening, beautifully crafted ice sculptures will light up as a large procession makes its way to Boston Common for the 7:00pm fireworks show, followed by live music performances leading up to the official countdown. January 1st will be celebrated on Copley Square from noon to 4:00pm with family-friendly activities.

Watch Fireworks Over Boston Harbor
How could one miss fireworks over the iconic Boston Harbor? Head over to Christopher Columbus Park to ring in the New Year by watching fireworks over Boston Harbor at midnight.
